Günther Schwank invents and patents the world’s first luminous gas-fired infrared heater


1951

Start of the series production in Hamburg, Germany


1970

Bernd Schwank joins the company; foundation of the first overseas subsidiaries including England, Canada, the Netherlands and France.


1981

Foundation of subsidiary in Waynesboro, Georgia

Ahead of time: implementation of the first hybrid installation with the heat recovery systems

Joint-venture with the Russian Gazprom in Tyumen, Russia

Schwank takes on its third generation - Oliver Schwank joins the group
